A BEDOUIN
Jordan, what a country, what a culture... traveled with a friend for a business. We met with local people real bedouin, who guided us on our trip across the country. We traveled in the month of February, where days are quiet warm and night pretty cold in Jordan. People are open and welcome tourist from all over the world. In certain areas of the country women had to be covered, which was no issue for me as I am familiar with the Muslim culture. However, man do expect to be always in front of the woman... and that was my first conflict with the locals. When we camped in the desert, we attended a local gathering and ate traditionally Jordanian food. The spices and the way the food is prepared was just amazing. Some of the food is cooked in the ground, as it maintains its heat that way.
We traveled to Perta, Amman, Dead Sea and some remote places inside the country.
Out trip was very successful, as the main local tourist agencies sign a contract with Croatia to accept tourist from all over Europe. My friend continued to work with Jordanian agencies for the full year, while I moved to my new home, America.
